White Flower Farm is a family-owned nursery located just three miles south of
the center of Litchfield on Route 63. Since 1950, we have offered a wide range
of annuals, perennials, shrubs, bulbs, and houseplants to gardeners throughout
the United States and Canada. We are plantsmen first and foremost, and our
search for the best varieties of ornamental plants has taken us around the
world. Consequently, our offering is a rich blend of the familiar and the rare.
Here at the nursery, we operate a retail store, several acres of display gardens,
and some 20 acres of production fields, all of which are open to the public seven
days a week the year round. Hours are 9 to 6 daily April through October, 10 to 5
daily November through March. In addition to a broad and varying selection of plants
our Store offers gifts for gardeners, books, and Terra Cotta pots of all shapes and
sizes. Our staff are knowledgeable and courteous and are happy to assist with your selections.
Our display gardens are colorful all through the growing season but never more than in autumn,
when Mums, Asters, and other late-blooming perennials open their blooms against
the glowing backdrop of Sugar Maples in their fall finery. It is an unforgettable spectacle
that reaches its peak, most years, in mid-October.
